Unilab Ideas Positive is Unilab's way of giving back to the community by helping paint a healthier future through the youth. Every year, they hold a contest where college students can share their innovative, exciting, and sustainable ideas addressing the health and wellness concerns of the Philippines, one community at a time. Last year, Team BIGGKAS from University of Asia and the Pacific won with their proposed project which aims to focus on malnutrition among children of Bgy. San Joaquin, Pasig City through a hydrophonics gardening project. Unilab Ideas Positive is now on its second year, and with this comes another batch of young minds with new ideas, and new strategies on how to transform the Philippines into a healthier nation. There will be an intensive three-day clinic about social marketing approaches to prepare the students for the bigger challenge of implementing their plans. Unilab is providing a total of P250,000 seed money to jumpstart the winning student groups' social marketing projects. A total cash prize of P95,000 for the winning student groups and faculty coaches is also at stake. Let us all work together to promote this advocacy, gain more youth involvement, and create positive change in communities.
