Rizal Monuments Photo Contest

How many Rizal monuments do you know of? Choose your favorite one then take a photo so you can join the Rizal Monuments Photo Contest of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). Try to be creative in your compositions and make sure to tell a story. The best photos will take home CASH prizes of P50K, P40K, and P30K respectively. There will also be 10 consolation winners taking home P1,000 each.

Contest Requirements:
  • Open to all Filipino citizens from ages 10 to 75 years
  • Professional photographers may join
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Photo Subject: Local Rizal Monument found in the town plaza, school campus, town hall, capitol grounds, hospital lawn, or on a public park
  2. Photo Guidelines
    • JPEG file
    • Minimum resolution of 10 megapixels
    • Full shot photo of the subject should be included for identification and record purposes
    • Must be unaltered
    • Professional photographers are required to submit both the RAW and JPG photo files
    • Must include a brief description of the subject RIZAL MONUMENT, the date it was erected, and its artist if available
    • May include people on the area for scale reference
    • Color photos ONLY
  3. Email entries to nhcp@nhi.gov.ph with the following details
    • Name
    • Age
    • Address
    • Cellphone No.
    • Name Of School/Office/Organization/Profession
  4. Judging Criteria
    • 25% Photo composition
    • 25% Photo quality
    • 25% Monument appreciation
    • 25% Message conveyed by the photo

  • First Prize - P50,000 + Certificate
