Minute Maid Pulpy Blog Contest
Minute Maid is tapping the power of bloggers to promote their drink online. Bloggers are asked to Pulp up their blogs by sharing their pulpy story through a blog post and use banners provided to pulp up the blog post and the blog. 3 bloggers will take home P20,000, P10,000 and P5,000 respectively based on creativity, use of banners, and number of comments. Commenters of blog winners will also get to take home a month’s supply of Minute Maid. So go ahead and leave a comment below so you also win in case I do win (finger's crossed)
The application generates text content which you could add lines to. Below is a copy of what I did. Only the last lines of each paragraph are mine.
I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe... I should look into this myself
I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I can feel it invigorating my senses.
So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means... I get the freshest ingredients with all those vitamins too.
So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added - meaning it's THAT natural, it's almost like it's plucked straight from the tree, it's just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it's got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh- the list of preservatives' bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is 'cause it's got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I'm gonna drink this everyday!
Feels good to know about the real pulpy deal, right? C’mon show me a smile on the comment box, and you might win yourself a Really Pulpy Deal! (That’s a chance to win a Minute Maid gift pack simply by commenting. Sweet! C'mon you just might be picked as the lucky 'commentor'!)
Love,
Boy Kuripot

Each dose will provide up to 12 hours of relief from your nasal congestion.
Application of Drixine is very foreign to most of us Filipinos. Most nasal decongestants are done orally. For Drixine however, you will have to insert the tip of the spray into the passageway of your nostril and squeeze to spray. Application can be done 2 - 3 times a day for up to 3 days ONLY.

Christmas Potluck Suggestions
Potluck parties are very common for parties and gatherings especially for us Filipinos. And now that it's Christmas season, there will be even more potluck parties. It's quite exhausting to think of a dish that you can contribute. For gifted cooks, this isn't a problem. They would actually be more than happy to make a dish and receive compliments for it. However for those who have no skill whatsoever at cooking, the best option or the only option is to buy. Here are some of the Christmas food I have tried which you may consider bringing to your next Christmas potluck party.

Pizza Hut Lechon Pizza
There's no doubt that this dish looks and sounds awkward at first. It's like the sisig pizza Greenwich offered in the past. Just trying to imagine eating lechon, cheese and bread is a bit weird.
But everything new has to be given a chance so I tried it. The pizza looked like a meat lovers pizza with "chicharon" evenly distributed and drizzled with lechon sauce when it came out. The first bite didn't taste like a regular lechon. It actually tasted like a regular meat lovers pizza with lechon sauce. But as I took more bites in, I slowly had a hint of taste of that lechon flavor I was looking for.
What impressed me the most about the lechon pizza is the pig skin. It was crunchy and surprisingly not oily, somewhat similar to Oishi's Marty's Chicharon. It is said that the skin will retain it's crispiness for a long time because of a process they did where they took out all the moisture from the skin. Eating the pizza with the skin is more enjoyable and delectable. I would definitely eat this again
The lechon pizza is offered for a limited time only. It might not be available on the menu by early next year. The medium size (10") costs P329 while the large size (14") costs P499.
For more info on the lechon pizza, log in to facebook.com/pizzahutphilippines They are also having an ongoing promo where they are giving out a Lechon Pizza feast
Krispy Kreme Chrismas Doughnuts
Krispy Kreme has a new line of donuts for this holiday season. There are 2 variants to choose from. The vanilla-frosted square-shaped doughnuts with green and red icing ribbons and the ring doughnut topped with vanilla icing and red and green candy sprinkles. There's also a snowman doughnut with vanilla icing and candy strip wrapped around its neck that acts as a scarf and blueberry jam that acts as buttons.
If you plan to buy these donuts, better make your way to your destination fast or keep the doughnut cool. When I opened my box of Krispy Kreme, the icing had melted which made it less appetizing and appealing to eat.
Reyes Barbecue Party Packs
I don't think I ever went to a potluck party without a barbecue. Someone always brings barbecue. If you're considering buying barbecue, you should consider the party pack Reyes Barbecue offers.
I'm pretty sure everyone has already tasted a Reyes Barbecue in their lifetime so I won't even bother to describe it. If you haven't, where have you been all these years?
The party packs offers barbecue in 2 sizes - regular and party size (cocktail size). The reason why they made a party size barbecue is because some people demanded a smaller version of the regular size barbeque. Maybe some people are light eater and a party size is perfect for them. That's better than wasting a half eaten barbecue right?
Party size (left) Regular (right)
Reyes Barbecues are made in meat-fat-meat-fat arrangement to give the meat the flavor of the fat as it cooks. The sauce is a perfect compliment for the barbecue.

Orders can be made through Quickdelivery or at their Bonifacio Stopover branch with tel. 8561215
Just a secret, take outs made at Bonifacio Stopover branch are given 10% discount.

Halfmoon Cafe Bibincrepe
Halfmoon Cafe made a twist to one of the most traditional Filipino desserts - bibingka. Their version is called bibincrepe, a fusion between a bibingka and a crepe. They use a pancake like batter to make the bibincrepe and fold in in half with filling sandwich in the middle. They have filling flavors like Cheese, Chocolate, Choco-Cheese, Corn-Cheese and Choco-Mallows.
Recently, they broke the world record for making the largest bibincrepe
To be honest, I don't find anything extraordinary about the bibincrepe. It's just like a pancake folded in half with filling inside. I would prefer eating a regular bibingka over the bibincrepe.

FREE Cineforum on Migration
In celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos and International Migrants Day, the Inter-Agency Committee (IAC) organized a FREE film screening of two OFW themed films, namely Rigodon and Fidel, in behalf of Philippine Migrants Rights Watch (PMRW) and co-chaired by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO). The Cineforum on Migration marks the first time independent films will be screened simultaneously in 19 SM Cinemas on December 13 and 14. Rigodon
Rigodon follows the stories of three Filipino immigrants in New York “whose lives intertwine in the age of racial profiling and government crackdown."
Rigodon’s cast include seasoned actors Chin Chin Gutierrez and Joel Torre.
Fidel
Fidel narrates a life of a male overseas Filipino worker on death row for killing his Arabian employer who raped him.

Microwarehouse Year-End Sale
If there's a sale that tech savvy individuals go to, it's the annual Microwarehouse Year-End Sale. This year, the sale is scheduled on December 11-12, 2010, and as always, the sale will be at the Decagon Silver City, Frontera Drive corner Julia Vargas Avenue, Pasig City (in front of McDo and beside Starbucks). Microwarehouse year-end sale is known for having big discounts on branded hardware and accessories such as Apple, Samsung, and Blackberry. I usually go home empty handed whenever I go there. However I do see a lot of people going out with boxes of goods. My friend who has been avidly going to the annual event said that the best items on sale are in the morning.

Nokia Phones at 70% off
You asked for it and Nokia listened... I think. Those who didn't get a chance to grab one of those C6 Nokia offered at 60% last November 13 will have another opportunity to do so. Nokia will be offering 70% off on Nokia Phones (see list below) on December 4, 2010 at participating Nokia stores (click on image below). Like the last promotion, Nokia will enforce a 1 unit per customer only. It's also indicated that the sale is "open for cash and straight transactions only" although I'm not sure I quite understand what they mean by "straight transactions." There's also a tiny fine print that says that the packages are slightly dented. Hopefully this time around, they would be able to satisfy most if not all those who are in line to make a purchase.
According to some blog posts, these are the models that will be available for the sale:
- Nokia 1280
- Nokia 1616
- Nokia C3
- Nokia 5230
- Nokia C5
- Nokia C6
