Avon Voices Talent Search
Beauty company Avon is holding its very own global talent search with the Avon Voices Singing Talent Search for women and the Avon Voices Songwriting Competition for men and women as part of 125th anniversary celebrations. Judges include world renowned singers Lea Salonga and Fergie. Prizes at stake is a recording contract for the singing contest and a music publishing contract for the songwriting contest.
Contest Requirements:
- Avon Voices Singing Talent Search
- Women who are at least 18 years of age
- Residents of any participating countries (Philippines included)
- Valid passports for travel
- Must not have an existing talent contract
- Must be available at the performance dates

- Men and women who are at least 18 years of age in participating countries.
- Avon Voices Singing Talent Search
- Select a song from the official Avon Voices song list. There are 100 songs to choose from
- Video record yourself singing your song choice in a capella
- Cut a 30-second portion of the video that best showcases your singing talent.
- Register and upload your 30-second video at avonvoices.com with 150 words or less explaining why you chose your song and what it means to you
- Video should be in .mov, .mpeg, .mp4, .wmv, or .avi format
- Only one submission per person is allowed

- Interpretation and authenticity
- 197 women from five geographic regions will be selected by Avon Voices judges to advance in succeeding rounds
- Two winners from 197 contenders that will be selected worldwide

- Avon Voices Songwriting Competition
- Write a 3-4 minute original song that inspires or shares hope and optimism. You may write the song alone or with the help of others.
- Record yourself or someone performing the song
- Register and upload an MP3 and lyric sheet at avonvoices.com
- You can submit up to three songs. Each song must be submitted separately and be substantially different

- Round 1: April 8 - 10, 2011 (for Asia Pacific contenders)
- Semi-finals: July 14 and July 19, 2011
- Grand Finals: November 1 and 2, 2011
- Avon Voices Songwriting Competition: May 20 - July 1, 2011
- Avon Voices Singing Talent Search
- Asia Pacific contenders - will fly to Hong Kong or People's Republic of China for video shoots
- Semi-finalists - will fly to Hollywood, California for professional vocal coaching, Avon makeovers, interviews, and video performance
- Finalists - will fly to the USA for individual vocal coaching, styling sessions, Avon makeovers, rehearsals, and in-studio recording
- Grand winners - record a professionally produced album and contracts
- Avon Voices Songwriting Competition
- Winners may be offered a music publishing contract, may have their winning song included on a professionally produced album, and may have their song performed by one of the finalists in the Avon Voices Singing Talent Search!
