Can you write a tune or two? Well, here are two Songwriting contests you may want to try out. Open to all amateur and professional composers, the 2010 KBP Pop Music Festival is in search for the catchiest tune with the theme of life experiences in the Philippines. Entry fee is at P100 per song and you also need to be a FILCOMDEC member (P250 membership fee) to join. A total of P400,000 in CASH prizes are at stake. If your into creating songs of praise and worship however, then the Pinoy Worship Songwriting Contest 2010 is for you. For an entry fee of P500 per song, you have the chance of going home with P10K, P5K and P3K.



Contest Requirements:

• 2010 KBP Pop Music Festival
• Open to all amateur and professional composers who are Filipinos or of Filipino descent
• Winners of past songwriting competitions may join
• Must be members of the Filipino Composers Development Cooperative (FILCOMDEC). P250 membership fee
  
• Entry fee of P100 per entry

• Open to amateur songwriters ONLY

1. Theme: "Different aspects of life and experiences in the Philippines or of Filipinos in various areas, such as relationships, work, business, religion, politics, etc. "

3. Entry Guidelines
• Must be in Filipino, English, any local Filipino dialect, or a combination
• Must not exceed four (4) minutes in length
• MP3 format (320 kbps resolution).
  
4. Download and complete the membership of Filipino Composers Development Cooperative (FILCOMDEC) and pay P250 to be a member
   
5. Download and complete the official entry form for the contest
   
6. Pay an entry fee of P100 per entry in the following bank account: Banco de Oro (BDO) Account No. 5390070233
   
7. Submit the official entry form song, along with your song, lyrics in Word document file and a scanned copy of the bank deposit slip of P100 entry via email at kbppop@kbp.org.ph (you may also submit through courier or direct mail)
   
8. You may submit a only 1 song in per category
9. 500 entries will be shortlisted and uploaded to the Click Music Website

• Pinoy Worship Songwriting Contest
1. Theme: "Dios ng Biyaya"
   
2. Entry Guidelines
• Must be in Tagalog
• Must not exceed five (5) minutes in length
• Songs may have multiple co-writers
3. Download and complete the Songwriting Entry Form
4. Submit the entry form along with the CD of your song, a lyric sheet, and the P500 entry fee to Faith In Jesus Christian Fellowship 250-B F. Cuevas St. Pamplona 2, Las Pinas City
5. You may submit a maximum of 3 entries (P500 per song)
6. 10 finalists will be chosen by a select panel of judges comprised of noted songwriters, producers, and music industry professionals
7. The top 10 Song Finalist will be chosen to be professionally produced by MP Music
   
8. The songs will be performed live during the Finals Night which is on November 30, 2010
