Water is Life Photo Contest 09' is back for the second time around. Since last year's theme is about raising public awareness on various water-related issues, this year, the theme would be about the causes and impacts of climate change on water resources. CASH prizes will be awarded to the top 3 photos as well as the 3 winners of the peoples' choice award category.



Contest Requirements:
  • Professional and amateur photographers
  • Philippine residents (or those who established residency in any part of the Philippines for at least six continuous months as of January 1, 2009) regardless of citizenship
  • 18 years old and above
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Theme: Negative impact of climate change on the country's water resources such as
    • Agriculture and Aquaculture
    • Water Supply
    • People’s Habitat
    • Health and Sanitation
  2. Photo Guidelines
    • Printed on 8” x 12” photo paper with no borders
    • Electronic files or film negatives of the images with 12” x 18” size
    • No identifying marks like watermarks, etc.
    • Color or black and white
    • Minor alterations for color, contrast, etc. allowed
    • Taken within the Philippines from January 1, 2009 to September 30, 2009
