Singing and Violin Contests
Showcase your musical talent by joining in either Singing (Kantahan at Pasiklaban) or Violin Contest (Gilopez Kabayao Violin Competition). CASH prizes will be awarded to those who will make it to the top three in both contests. Joining is absolutely FREE.Contest Requirements:

- Filipinos ages 18 to 35
- Kantahan at Pasiklaban
- Pre-register at the lobby of the Promenade from July 26 to 30
- Choose any of the two preliminary round dates

- Entrants must select and play the following pieces
- 2 selected Paganini Caprices
- 1 virtuoso piece
- 1 complete violin and piano Sonata from selected sonatas by Beethoven, Brahms, Fauré, Franck, Richard Strauss
- 2 Philippine folk songs transcribed by Gilopez
- A contest piece
- Mutya ng Pasig by Abelardo-Kabayao
- Obtain an application form at St. Scholastica’s College, UST Conservatory, UP College of Music or from the Gilopez Kabayao Foundation, San Juan St. Molo, Iloilo
