Flipside The Next Great Comic Book Contest
Calling all budding comic book creators! Flipside Publishing, a known distributor, publisher and retailer of Ebooks and other digital reading products, is looking for The Next Great Comic Book. You can join as solo or with a group. What you need to do is create an original 12-page comic book in any theme or genre. It must be a stand-alone entry, written in English or Filipino, in full color or black & white. Once you're happy with your work, submit it via email along with you or your group member's name and contact details. You retain copyright of your submitted work. Three (3) most promising comic books will receive cash prizes worth P5,000, P2,500, or P1,000 respectively plus a publishing contract with Flipside. Not only that. All the winning entries will be published in Ebook format.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to all aspiring comic book creators (individual or group)
- Note: You can only be part of one group
- Entry Guidelines
- Entries can be in either English or Filipino, in full color or black & white
- Must be in JPG or PNG format, 300 dpi, and Letter-size (8.5 x 11 inches)
- All entries must be stand-alone
- Should be your original work and must not have been previously published. You must represent and warrant that the submission is your own work and has absolute ownership of all intellectual property rights thereto
- Entries must contain a minimum of twelve (12) pages
- There are no restrictions on length
- There is no limit to the themes or genres that can be submitted
- Submit your work via email to contest@flipside.ph along with you or your group member's names and contact details
- You retain copyright of your submitted work
- The Board of Judges is composed of Josel Nicolas, Mervin Malonzo and Tintin Pantoja
- The Board of Judges shall have full discretion to determine which entries are the winners and shall be final
- Winning entries will be published in Ebook format
- Only one (1) entry per individual or group
