#Volunteerism4Devt Contest
Calling all shutterbugs, photoholics, and professional photographers! The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), in cooperation with the National Volunteer Month Steering Committee (NVM-SC), is launching the #Volunteerism4Devt Photo Contest as part of the 2015 National Volunteer Month. This contest aims to capture the bayanihan spirit in Philippine development through photography. To join, download first the entry form via the contest website or FB page. Then, prepare your original photo taken in the country from 2013-2015. This should focus on the theme, "Volunteerism for Development". Seal your entry, along with the other required documents, in an envelope and submit it at the PNVSCA office. You can enter up to two (2) photos so submit your best shot for a chance to win P12,000 in the First Prize or P8,000 in the Second Prize. Three (3) Runner-ups will also each receive P4,000 cash. On top of that, all qualified participants will each get a Certificate of Participation.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to all local photographers (professional or amateur), hobbyists or enthusiasts, 18 years old and above
- FREE to join (No registration fee)

- Entry Guidelines
- The entry should be your own original material taken in the Philippines from 2013-2015. Note: If the image contains any material or element that is not your property, or if any person appears in the photo, you are responsible for securing—prior to submission of the entry—a formal consent/permission from concerned parties or, in the case of minor, from the subject's parent or guardian
- Photo must be original and colored. Black and White or Sepia photos are not allowed
- Digital copy should be in Jpeg or JPG format with resolution of 300 dpi or higher
- Size should be 2400 X 3000 pixels
- Printed copy should be 5R (5×7 inches) in size on photographic paper (matte or glossy finish)
- Images should not be digitally enhanced or altered. Only simple adjustments such as cropping and color/contrast/sharpness shall be allowed
- Entries should not have been submitted to or won in any other contests/competitions nor have been published or shown in any local or international publications and/or other media forms
- Photos of national and local government officials are not eligible as subjects
- Submission Guidelines
- Put the following documents in a sealed envelope:
- Completed entry form
- Digital copy of the entry stored in CD/DVD
- Printed copy in 5R size with the name and signature of the participant at the back
- Each entry must have:
- Photo title in English or Filipino
- Information on the place where the photo was taken
- date when the photo was taken
- Short description of what the photo is about
- Submit your entry/ies to:
- Judging Criteria
- 50% Story (Relevance) - How the photo portrays the theme 'Volunteerism for Development'
- 30% Creativity - How the subject of the photo is pictured and presented
- 20% Impact - How the photo captured the attention of the viewers/public (10% from the judges and 10% from online votes/FB likes earned)
- You are allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) entries
- All entries shall be pre-screened by PNVSCA. Qualified entries shall be announced and posted at the PNVSCA Facebook Page for online voting
- The entry forms and guidelines may be photocopied and reproduced
- The decision of the panel of judges is considered final and unappealable
- All photos submitted shall be the property of PNVSCA
