Bandera O-T-S Postage Stamp
Artista ka ba? Ibandera ang galing mo in Inquirer Bandera's On-the-Spot Postage Stamp Design Contest. This is in celebration of the tabloid's 25th anniversary. To join, register in advance on the provided online registration form then go to the designated contest venue on the scheduled dates. Your artwork should interpret the theme, "Bandera: Hindi lang basta tabloid" and must abide the entry guidelines with a writeup or interpretation in not less than 100 words. You will be given two (2) hours to accomplish your piece. From among all entries in each venue, 10 will be shortlisted for a chance to bag the P20,000, P10,000 and P5,000 cash prizes plus a feature in the 25th anniversary issue of Inquirer. The Top 25 designs will also be featured in Inquirer Bandera's 25th anniversary coffee table book.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to elementary, high school and college students from public and private schools
- Log on to and register in advance at the contest online registration form
- Theme: "Bandera: Hindi lang basta tabloid."
- Entry Guidelines
- Entries must be made on 8 3/4 inches x 11 ½ inches white illustration board in either portrait or landscape format
- Must be purely artwork and should NOT incorporate the text of the theme, denomination of the stamp, year of issue and the word 'PILIPINAS'
- Must be accompanied by a write up or interpretation of the theme and the design in not less than 100 words. Should be written legibly in an A4 size bond paper
- Must be rendered using any of the following: oil, acrylic, pastel. There are no restrictions in the colors to be used in the artwork
- Your name, birthday, address, contact number and name of the school should be attached at the back of the illustration board
- Judging Criteria
- 50% Relevance to the theme - artwork communicates the significance of the theme
- 20% Originality - novelty of the images, concepts, and ideas presented in the artwork
- 15% Visual Impact - over-all visual appeal of the artwork
- 15% Artistic method/design - artist's versatility and creative use of artistic elements in the artwork
- You will be given two (2) hours to accomplish the artwork
- From among all entries per venue, ten (10) will be shortlisted by the Screening Committee
- The decision of the panel of judges is final and not subject to appeal
- All entries shall automatically become the property of the Inquirer Bandera
