RAFI Triennial Awards
The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. has consistently been touching the lives of many people with their comprehensive approach in community development. Every three (3) years, they are holding the RAFI Triennial Awards to recognize the philanthropic, humanitarian, and holistic efforts of individuals and institutions in Visayas and Mindanao. Now, on its 5th year, they are holding a blogging contest guided by the theme, "RAFI Triennial Awards Laureates: Shaping the big picture of change". Bloggers are expected to do a background research on the lives and works of RAFI Triennial awardees and finalists nearest their area. Post it on your site and spread it in the blogosphere for a chance to win P25,000, P20,000 or P15,000 respectively plus plaque for the individual.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to individuals between the ages 13 to 35 years old, based in the Visayas and Mindanao regions
- Must have an existing and updated blog site or personal social media accounts which offer blog hosting services (WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Multiply, etc.) for at least six months provided that the blog post can be viewed publicly and can be accessed online until winners are declared
- Visit rafi.org.ph and download contest entry form
- To register, fill up the entry form and produce an electronic copy of any accepted ID (school/alumni ID, company ID or Passport Identification Page, and other valid IDs) saved in JPEG or TIFF format file
- Theme: "RAFI Triennial Awards Laureates: Shaping the big picture of change"
- Entry Guidelines
- Must be original and should be written in English. Minimum of 1,000 and maximum of 4,000 words
- Should not have been entered or won in previous competitions
- Must have a title in line with the theme
- You can post related images or videos but emphasis will be given on the written content
- Should also indicate "This is an official entry to the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Triennial Awards Blogging Contest." at the end of a blog post, as well as include a link to the RAFI website
- Post entries on your respective blogs then email the completed application form, blog post URL, and electronic copy of any valid ID to ellen.red@rafi.org.ph. with the subject header: "Entry to the RAFI Triennial Awards Blogging Contest"
- Maximum of three (3) blog posts per person only with each entry having different RAFI Triennial Awards laureates featured
- You may promote your essay in the blogosphere
- Judging Criteria
- 50% Content
- 30% Research value/data gathered and insights
- 20% Originality and alignment to theme
- 50% Writing style/composition (including technicalities)

Contest Prize:
- First prize - P25,000 + plaque for the individual
