Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) National Competition is a yearly contest that aims to recognize young interior designers, architects and artists who strives for excellence. Individuals who could produce outstanding works will be able to take home huge CASH prizes as well as be featured in various public viewing and art exhibits.

Contest Requirements:
  • Open to Filipino painters and sculptors 18 to 35 years old
  • Licensed architects and interior designers 25 to 45 years old
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Categories
    • Oil-Based Medium on Canvas
      • Should not be smaller than 18 x 24 inches and should not exceed 36 x 48 inches, exclusive of frame
    • Water Media on Paper
      • Should not be smaller than 18 x 24 inches and should not exceed 36 x 48 inches, exclusive of frame
    • Sculpture
      • Must not exceed 40 kilos in weight and a volumetric size of 4,096 inches, excluding base
      • Base size should not exceed 2 inches in width
      • Open theme
      • May consist of one or a combination of materials - resin, fiberglass, glass, metal, wood, stone (concrete), or fired clay (terracotta or stoneware)
    • Architecture
      • House should be completed and occupied for at least one year upon submission of entry
    • Interior Design
      • Submit concept designs, keeping sustainability in mind

Contest Period:
  • Oil-Based Medium on Canvas, Water Media on Paper, Sculpture
    • FOR PROVINCIAL ENTRIES (documents) to be submitted at Metrobank branches on or before May 4, 2010
    • FOR NCR & PROVINCIAL ENTRIES (documents) to be submitted at Metrobank Foundation office on or before May 7-8, 2010
  • Architecture & Interior Design
    • Documents must be submitted on or before May 25, 2010

Contest Prize:
  • Oil-Based Medium on Canvas
    • Grand Prize - P200,000
    • 2nd place - P170,000
    • 3rd place - P150,000
  • Water Media on Paper
    • Special Prize - P150,000
    • Grand Prize - P200,000
  • Sculpture
    • Special Prize - P150,000
    • Grand Prize - P200,000
  • Architecture
    • Grand Prize - P200,000
  • Interior Design
    • Special Prize - P150,000
    • Grand Prize - P200,000
    • Two finalists will be chosen to execute their concept design in a space provided by Federal Land
