Make a difference in how people view the current state of our environment. Join in ADB's The Asia-Pacific Climate Change Video Contest. Shoot a 1- 5 minute film that promotes awareness of climate change, stimulate debate, or encourage climate change solutions. The film could be in a form of animation, documentary, drama, experimental, art, testimonial, etc. Over $10,000 worth of prizes are at stake. Make a video! Make a difference!




Contest Requirements:
  • Citizen of any one of ADB's 67 member countries
Contest Mechanics:
  1. Create a short digital film about climate change in Asia & the Pacific
  2. 3 contest categories
    • Youth (under 21) from ADB Developing Member Countries - Pinoys can join
    • Open (21 and over) from ADB Developing Member - Pinoys can join
    • Open (all ages) from other ADB Member Countries - Pinoys CANNOT join
  3. Video Guidelines
    • Can be in any digital video format
    • 1 - 5 minutes long
    • You may use your mobile phone's video camera
    • Any genre is allowed, including but not limited to animation, documentary, drama, experimental, art, testimonial, etc.
    • Can be done in any language but must include subtitles & full length script in English
  4. Upload your video on YouTube.com or Youku.com
  5. Tag your video with "ADB climate change"
  6. If you're a Youtube user, join the ADB Climate Change YouTube group and submit your video on the group.
  7. Youku users needs to fill out a simple online registration form

Contest Period: November 4, 2009 - January 31, 2010

Contest Prize:

  • Grand Prize (best overall): US$ 2,500
  • 1st Prize, all categories: US$ 1,500
  • 2nd Prize, all categories: US$ 750
  • 3rd Prize, all categories: US$ 300
  • Limited consolation prizes: Flipcam video camcorders

  • Multiple submission allowed
  • "Entrants do not waive their intellectual or moral property rights by entering the contest, and will therefore retain the right to be identified as the author/creator of their films"
