There is nothing more natural than a candid photo. If you have a candid photo you are extremely proud of, why don't you try and enter the Epson Unguarded Moment photo contest. All you need is to print your photo in an A4 Epson Paper using an Epson Printer (like they know if you didn't use their printer). The Grand Prize winner in the Philippines will take home P20,000 and Epson Stylus TX700W and will be sent to Tokyo, Japan (paid accommodation, plane fare, food, and travel taxes) to represent the country in the regional finals where he/she could bring home the international grand prize of 2 million yen (approx US$21,000) + Epson product. Send your entries before October 28 (5PM)



Contest Mechanics:

1. Theme: "The Unguarded Moment" -- non-stylized and candid shots based on life's wonderful 'unguarded moments.'

3. Photo Guidelines
• Printed on unmounted A4 size (8.267x11.693 inches) Epson Paper using Epson printers
• Maximum border allowed is only one (1) inch on all sides of the paper
• Photos must be in its original take, not digitally enhanced, not cropped nor-super-imposed
• Placement of identifying marks, such as names, addresses or any sign to insinuate information about the owner of the entry is strictly prohibited
4. Submit your entries in a brown envelope with a high resolution digital JPEG or PSD copy on a CD. (At least 4242 x 6000 pixels or 300 dpi.) If you have more than one entry, you can put them all in one CD

6. Pre-qualification Judging Criteria
• 75% Adherence to entry requirements – The entry must be original, unpublished, raw, undigitized with no identification, printed on Epson paper by an Epson printer, adherent to theme, does not contain anything obscene, violent or offensive to any community, no violation of third party non-violation of third-party, etc.
• 25% Overall Impact – attractiveness of the photo
7. Judging Criteria
• 35% Impact – The photo clearly captures the attention of the viewer
• 25% Creativity – Originality, freshness of approach
• 25% Composition - A pleasing balance exists among all components of the composition
• 15% Print Quality – The absence of blemishes, scratches, overly enlarged (graininess), and pixelation
