The Tourism Authority of Thailand is looking for internet savvy world travelers to join the Ultimate Thailand Explorers contest. Similar to the Australia's Best Job in the World contest (which by the way also has an ongoing promo), you need to submit a video of yourself and your teammate explaining which destination you want to explore, why you prefer it, and how you will promote it. Winners will get to travel to Amazing Thailand and enjoy hotel/resort accommodations, spa treatments and ticket shows. To top it off, the Grand Prize winner goes home with $10,000 CASH. Furthermore, two lucky voters will Win $2,000 worth of prizes.



Contest Requirements:

• A two person team, both of whom must be at least 21 years of age at the time of video submission
• Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
• Naturally good story tellers
• Possess a valid International driving license
• Possess a legal passport and the necessary travel documents to enter Thailand
• Available to travel to Thailand between December 8 to 16, 2009 (approximately) and on February 2, 2010 to attend the announcement ceremony and a press conference
  

Contest Mechanics:

1. Create a 1 minute video clip with your teammate explaining which destination you want to explore, why you prefer it, and how you will promote it
2. Upload your videos on www.youtube.com
3. Register your team profile (click on the checkbox at the end of the page)
4. Twenty-five (25) couples Semi Finalists will be selected by the Judging Committee
5. Five (5) finalists will be determined by the number of public votes
6. Two (2) lucky voters also get to win prizes

Contest Period: September 1 – October 15, 2009

• October 19: Announcement of 25 Semi-final teams
• October 19 - November 12: Online voting period to select 5 finalists from 25 teams
• November 13: Announcement of Final 5 teams
• December 8: Final 5 teams arrive in Thailand
• December 9: Event briefing / welcome party & press conference
• December 10-15: Competition
• December 16: Thank you party
• December 10 – January 8, 2010: Online voting period to select the winning team
• January 8: Announcement of the winning team.
