Pinoy Story Writing Contest
In Celebration of the 13th Philippine Book Development Month, the National Book Development Board brings you the Pinoy Story Writing Contest. Aspiring writers can submit in any of the 4 categories: Romance, Horror/Crime or Suspense, Chick Lit, or a collection of short stories or a novel. Each category winner will bring home P15,000 CASH and a chance for a publishing contract.Contest Requirements:
- Filipino citizens, eighteen (18) years old and above
- Categories
- Tagalog/Filipino Romance
- Horror/Crime or Suspense
- Chick Lit in English
- A collection of short stories or a novel in English, Filipino or any of the regional languages provided a translation in English or Filipino is provided
- Entry Guidelines
- Minimum of one hundred (100) pages letter-sized bond paper
- Double-spaced
- 12-pt font Arial, Times New Roman, Times, or Book Antiqua
- The manuscript itself should not contain the author’s name or any identifying marks
- Submission Guidelines
- Submit both print (in letter-sized bond paper) and digital format in MS Word (sent by email as an attachment or sent with the manuscript in a CD by post)
- Download and complete the application form
- Place everything inside a long brown envelope and label
