Take your college band to the next level by joining Nescafe's SoundSkool '09. To join, make a purchase of Nescafe products and submit it along with your demo CD which you can record for FREE through Nescafe's partner recording studios. If your band proves to have enough talent, you get to move on from screening to the regional elimination and finally to the finals where your band gets to attend a NESCAFÉ 3in1 Soundskool Workshop held in BORACAY and in Metro Manila. Finally, one band will reign supreme and take home the grand prize of P250,000 CASH and a full band set-up, worth P100,000.



Contest Requirements:

• UNSIGNED bands whose members are currently enrolled in a college/university students
• Majority of the band members must be students and currently enrolled
• Band must have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) members
• 16 - 26 years of age
  
• Filipino citizen, or should have resided in the Philippines for at least one (1) year
• Purchase a NESCAFÉ 3in1 boxes in combinations of either variants of NESCAFÉ 3in1 Original, Sweet&Creamy, or Intense:
• Two (2) boxes of 20’s
• Four (4) boxes of 10’s
• Eight (8) boxes of 5’s

Contest Mechanics:

1. Choose a College/University your band wants to represent (at least have one (1) member enrolled in the said college/university)
2. Schedule a FREE live recording session from the list of recording studios
   
3. Cover and original songs must fall under Pop, Light Rock or Alternative genre
4. Complete and obtain the following requirements and seal it in a short brown envelope with your band and school name written on the back
   
• Completed Application Form
• Xerox copy of Birth Certificate
• Proof of Enrollment (i.e. Validated ID, Registration Form)
• Letter of Endorsement from School Representative
• One (1) copy colored group picture (4R)
• Demo compact disc (CD) with one (1) cover song and one (1) original song. Maximum running time is three (3) minutes per song
  
• Purchase a NESCAFÉ 3in1 boxes
  
5. Drop your entries at drop boxes or mail it to

6. 65 bands (20 - GMA, 15 - Luzon, 15 - Visayas, 15 - Mindanao) will be selected by a panel based on the band's demo CD and band profile and will compete at the Regional Eliminations

• 40% Song Composition
• 20% NESCAFÉ Experience
• 20% Voice Quality
• 20% Musicality
