"Salamat Po!" Nationwide Letter Writing Project Year 4

Calling all students in Elementary and Junior & Senior High! Submission of entries for the "Salamat Po!" Nationwide Letter Writing Project Year 4 is now open. Spearheaded by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), the project aims to encourage the youth to express their gratitude, show love and appreciation and uplift the morale of other people while bringing back the old fashion way of letter writing. What you need to do is write a thank you message to anyone  you want. It could be in Filipino or English. Don't forget to follow the required format along with the other important details then send it through the Post Office or any accredited Postal Stations. If the recipient lives abroad, you may use the Airmail service, published rates applied. For every letter sent via ordinary mail service, you will be entitled to one (1) raffle ticket while those sent abroad will receive two (2) raffle tickets. Together with your teacher, fill up and sign the raffle stub then drop it at the designated drop boxes located at participating and accredited post offices and postal stations. One (1) student will take home P50,000 in the Grand Raffle. The teacher and the school will also receive the same prize amount as the student. On the other hand, P10,000 awaits the Semi-Grand Draw winner as well as the school and teacher who encouraged him to write.

Promo Requirements:
  • Open to all Elementary and High School (Junior and Senior) students from both public and private institutions nationwide
Promo Mechanics:
  1. Write a "Thank You" or "Salamat Po" letter to anyone you want within the promo period. This also include the Buwan ng Wika, National Teacher's Month celebration, during Family Day and any other events where letter writing activities are appropriate
  2. Entry Guidelines
    • Letter should be written in Filipino or English. Note: In the Buwan ng Wika celebration, you must write your letter in Filipino language
    • Should follow the proper format of writing a letter:
      • Place and date
      • Addressee's address
      • Opening and closing salutation
      • Signature
    • Should be handwritten
    • Should specify the name of the school and teacher
  3. Two (2) ways to send your letter/s
    • For delivery anywhere in the Philippines
      • Via ordinary mail service with postage rate of P10 (1-2 pages only)
      • Make sure to mail through the Post Office and accredited Postal Stations only
    • For abroad
      • Via Airmail service
      • Published rates shall apply
  4. For every "Salamat Po" letter, you will be entitled to equivalent number of raffle ticket/s
    • Sent via postal service or any of the accredited Postal Station - one (1) raffle ticket
    • Sent abroad - two (2) raffle tickets
  5. Together with your teacher, fill up and sign the raffle stub then drop it at the designated drop boxes found at the following locations:
    • All Post Offices
    • Accredited Postal Stations
    • Post Offices in Robinsons, SM and other malls with Postal Counters
  6. In areas where Post Offices/Postal Stations are not accessible to students, PHLPost and Postal Station Operators shall schedule the pick-up of all mails upon request of the school heads
  7. The Grand Raffle Draw shall be held at the PHLPost Central during the celebration of PHLPost anniversary. The awarding of prizes shall be held at the school of the winning entry preferably during the flag ceremony

Promo Period: September - October 2016
  • Semi-Grand Draw from each Area - March 15, 2017
  • Grand Raffle Draw - April 2017
  • Awarding of Prizes for the Grand Draw - June 2017 at the school of the winning entry during the flag ceremony
Promo Prize:
  • Grand Raffle Draw
    • One (1) student winner of P50,000 CASH
    • The school and the teacher will also receive P50,000 CASH
  • Semi-Grand Draw
    • One (1) student winner of P10,000 CASH
    • The school and the teacher will also receive P10,000 CASH
Upside
  • CASH prize
  • Both the school and the teacher of the winner will receive the same cash amount as the student
  • Be part of a project for a cause
Downside
  • No specific date for the Grand Raffle Draw
