The Amazing Race Asia Season 5
The heart-pumping and adrenalin-rushing race is back! Take part in Asia's biggest adventure in The Amazing Race Asia Season 5. Choose your best teammate and start submitting your application form and audition video online. If you can't submit online, you may opt to send your entries via Drop Off wherein you'll have to bring a completely filled out application form and your recorded audition video. Or you can also head on to the available Video Booths to complete an application and record a three (3) minute video onsite. Chosen teams will be flown from your local airports to an unknown destination somewhere in the world and will be allowed to bring a limited number of items needed for the competition. Race hard, race safe and race fast for a chance to bag the Grand Prize worth US$100,000. Teams may also have the chance to win non-cash prizes over and above the grand prize. Aside from that, there will be prizes as well to teams who will win a certain challenge or those who will arrive first on selected pit stops.
Contest Requirements:
- A team of two (2) members, at least 21 years of age
- Asia or a non-Asian citizen who is currently living and/or working in Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Palau, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam)
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Must be willing to travel to numerous locations around the world lasting approximately 20 to 35 days
- Must have a valid international drivers' license and an International Drivers' Permit
- Must know how to drive vehicles with manual and/or automatic transmissions
- Must understand and speak English
- Must have a passport that is valid until at least October 1, 2017 and has a minimum of ten (10) blank pages and one (1) other form of photo ID

- Must be less than 100MB
- Must be in one of the following file formats: .avi, .mpg, .mov
- Video of you and your teammate answering (in English) why you would be perfect for the race
- Drop Off
- Download and fill out the application form
- Bring your three (3) minute video and the application form on the scheduled submission dates
- Video must be on a DVD or USB drive. Should be in .avi, .mpg, .mov
- Device should be labelled clearly with your names and phone numbers

- Both team members must be present
- You and your teammate will be able to complete an application and record a three (3) minute video onsite
- Chosen teams will be flown from your local airports to an unknown destination somewhere in the world and will be allowed to bring a limited number of items permitted by the producers
- Your team must agree to interact with the other participants and cooperate with producers during the taping of the program on a twenty-four-(24)-hours-a-day, seven-(7)-days-a-week basis. You must must be able to travel for long periods of time, must be adaptable to various living and travelling situations and must enjoy living and travelling in close proximity with others of varied age, sex, race, background, and experience.
- You can send in multiple entries, so long as each entry is with a different partner
- If you select the drop off submission/video booth submission option, do not also apply online
- All decisions regarding the program are final
- Your team will have to bear travel costs for the preliminary application round. Only travel costs for the semi-final/final interview (if you do not reside within the interview city) and during the actual race will be borne by the producers
- All traveling visas will be arranged and paid for by the show producers
- The video will be retained by, and will become the property of, the Producers (as defined below), regardless of whether or not you are selected as a participant
- Only passports and working permits will be used to verify proof of residency
- Applicants who have applied for the previous season can still join the competition
- There is no application fee to join the race
- You are unable to contact friends/families during the race period
- Teams may have the chance to win non-cash prizes over and above the grand prize. There may be prizes at some pit stops, or if your team wins a certain challenge
