Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards For Literature 2016
The country's most prestigious and longest-running literary awards is now accepting entries for the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards For Literature 2016. If you want to become part of the Philippine literary circle, submit your most outstanding literary craft in any participating division (English, Filipino, Regional Languages and Kabataan) under your preferred category (Short story, Short story for children, Essay, Poetry, etc). Don't forget to fill out the Official Entry Form and Grant/Assignment of Rights and Consent (for adaptations) which can be downloaded on the contest website. You may submit your entry in three (3) ways: Via direct submission at the CPF Office, mail or courier, or online. Cash prizes worth P18,000, P12,000 and P9,000 await the winners of the Short Story/Maikling Kuwento/Regional Languages (Hiligaynon, Ilokano, Cebuano, Poetry, Essay, One-act Play, Short Story for Children, Poetry Written for Children/Tula, Sanaysay, Dulang May Isang Yugto, Maikling Kuwentong Pambata, and Tula Para sa mga Bata. On the other hand, winners in the Full-length Play/Dulang Ganap ang Haba will receive cash prizes worth P23,000, P14,000 and P9,000 respectively. Higher prizes amounting to P35,00, P20,000 and P17,000 will be also be awarded to the Dulang Pampelikula winners. And, P11,000, P7,000 and P4,000 will be given to the Kabataan Essay/Kabataan Sanaysay winners. Lastly, those who have garnered multiple first prizes will receive The Hall of Fame Award or The Kabataan Award of Distinction.

- Entry Guidelines
- All entries must be in PDF file
- Double-spaced (not applicable on poetry/tula category) on 8 1/2 X 11 inches bond paper
- There should be a one inch margin on all sides
- The page number should be typed consecutively at the center of the bottom margin of each page
- The font should be Arial, Times New Roman, or Book Antiqua
- The font size should be 12
- A synopsis is required except for the Poetry, Poetry Written for Children and Essay category, English and Filipino divisions
- The author's name and/or pen name should not appear on the entry
- The Official Entry Form and Grant/Assignment of Rights and the Consent (for adaptations, if applicable) should be notarized except for entries from abroad
- Entries from abroad need not be notarized but if it wins, then the Official Entry Form and Grant/Assignment of Rights and Consent (for adaptations, if applicable) must be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate and received by the CPMA Office on or before 25 August (Philippine time) of the contest year in order to qualify to receive an Award

- The Board of Judges shall declare only one winner for each prize. There shall be no co-winners and/or splitting of the prize money
