Wrangler Search For True Wanderers
Adventure is calling all travelers in Wrangler's Search For True Wanderers contest. In partnership with the Department of Tourism, Wrangler is looking for motorcycle riders fueled by passion to explore our country's hidden gems. To join, log on to Wrangler contest website and register. Select only one (1) of five (5) pre-determined passions: Adventure, Food, Photography, Backpacking or Nature. In 250 words or less, explain what drives your passion to explore the open road. Include a photo of you and your motorbike. All submitted entries will be shortlisted to fifty (50) to answer a questionnaire. From there, a panel of biking experts and travel enthusiasts will screen the answers and select ten (10) finalists. These finalists will undergo a five (5)-day motorcycle ride in a pre-selected city in the country chosen by Wrangler and the Department of Tourism. Each day, you will be assigned an activity which you should complete. Aside from that, you must update your blog daily with topics focusing on your route, challenges, places visited, food you tried, music you listened to, people you met, sights seen, places stayed, difficulty of ride, things you learned, etc. You should also update your personal social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) and use the Wrangler gear to be provided during the send-off event. Encourage your friends to follow your blog to increase social fuel. Only one (1) true wanderer will ride away a Royal Enfield Chrome Black 500cc and P100,000 of Wrangler products.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to all local citizens, 18 years old and above
- Should have own motorbike and valid motorcycle driving license
- Log on to wrangler-ap.com/ph, select Philippines at the country option and register. You may also create an account using your email

- Select only one (1) of five (5) pre-determined passions to explore the road:
- Adventure
- Food
- Photography
- Backpacking
- Nature
- Explain what drives your passion to explore the open road in 250 words or less
- Include a photo of you and your motorbike
- You may upload a maximum of five (5) photos
- You can submit a mix of texts, photos and video
- Upload your entry upon registration
- Stages of Competition
- Screening:
- After the initial screening process, an additional screening will take place wherein fifty (50) shortlisted applicants will be emailed a questionnaire to answer within 24 hours. From there, a panel of biking experts and travel enthusiasts will screen the answers and select ten (10) finalists
- The ten (10) finalists will undergo a five (5)-day motorcycle ride in a pre-selected city in the country chosen by Wrangler and the Department of Tourism
- Send-off:
- A list of daily challenges will be assigned. Completion of the daily challenges will be part of the overall score
- You must update your blog daily while out on the road. Deadline for daily posts will be at 10pm every day during the five-day ride
- Topics may include but are not limited to the daily challenges, route, places visited, food you tried, music you listened to, people you met, sights seen, places stayed, difficulty of ride, things you learned, etc.
- You must also update your personal social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) and use the Wrangler gear to be provided during the send-off event

- Entry Screening for 50 finalists:
- 40% Writing style and expression - Is your story well-written, easy to understand, entertaining and engaging to read?
- 40% Visual Aesthetic - How well do your accompanying photo/photos capture the beauty of the terrain, and its relevance to the True Wanderer ride?
- 20% Adventure Quotient - Have you got the spirit of a True Wanderer? How open are you to the unexpected pleasures and pains of such a ride? What is your concept of adventure?
- Screening for 10 finalists:
- 25% Writing style and expression - Is your story well-written, easy to understand, entertaining and engaging to read?
- 25% Visual Aesthetic - How well do your accompanying photo/photos capture the beauty of the terrain, and its relevance to the True Wanderer ride?
- 20% Inspiration Factor - Do you inspire readers? Does it explore cuisine, people, music and culture? Do you represent freedom, fun and adventure?
- 20% Adventure Quotient - Have you got the spirit of a True Wanderer? How open are you to the unexpected pleasures and pains of such a ride? What is your concept of adventure?
- 10% Social Fuel - Number of votes of the travelogue entry on the blog and Wrangler Philippine’s social media posts
- Screening for the Grand Winner
- 20% Originality and Creativity of Journey - Is your journey fresh, unique, and different? How creatively did you execute your daily challenges within the city? What new and interesting things did you discover about the selected place you explored
- 15% Visual Aesthetic - How well do your accompanying photo/photos capture the beauty of your assigned destination, and its relevance to the True Wanderer ride?
- 15% Inspiration factor - Do you inspire readers? Does it explore cuisine, people, music and culture? Do you represent freedom, fun and adventure? How did your passion flourish and guide you throughout your journey? How?
- 15% Adventure Quotient - Have you got the spirit of a True Wanderer? Did you try going off the beaten track? Were you able to display the essence of wandering with passion? How open are you to the unexpected pleasures and pains of such a ride? What is your concept of adventure and how close does this ride come to being that description of it?
- 15% Passion Factor - How did you integrate your passion with the True Wanderer journey? How did your passion help you in executing your daily challenges?
- 10% Writing style and expression - Is your story well-written, easy to understand, entertaining and engaging to read?
- 10% Social Fuel - Number of votes of the travelogue entry on the blog and Wrangler Philippine’s social media posts
- You are allowed to submit only one (1) entry
- You may promote the travelogue entries on your social media pages to encourage people to vote for your blog in order to increase social fuel
- All posts, blog comments etc. uploaded may be used by Wrangler without any liability to pay the participant, at its discretion and the contestant has no objection to the same
- Travel expenses for the send-off will be paid by Wrangler
