4th PAGCOR National Photography
Didn't get lucky in last year's competition? No worries! Submission is still open for the 4th PAGCOR National Photography Competition. Running on the theme "Throwback", travel back in time and reminisce our country's glorious past. Take strong photos depicting the Filipino's cultural history from food, traits, historical sites, culture, celebrations, etc. Choose your category or you can submit on both: Conventional Photography and Mobile Photography. Register online first before uploading your entry. Since you are allowed to submit only two (2) entries, we encourage to enter your best shot. There will be screenings in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and Metro Manila. From these entries, five (5) will move on to the Grand Finals. Cash prizes worth P75,000 and P30,000, plus trophy, will be awarded to the Grand Prize winners of the Conventional and Mobile category. For the non-winners, each will receive P20,000 and P5,000 plus a Certificate of Merit. Moreover, a special prize worth P5,000 + Certificate of Recognition will be granted to the Most Popular Photo with outstanding number of online votes.
Contest Requirements:
- Open to all nationalities at least 18 years old
- Note: Foreign nationals should present a valid passport and Philippine address where they stay during the contest period
- Log on to pagcor.ph and fill out the online registration/entry form
- Theme: "Throwback" - Positive things or images that are reminiscent of the Filipino's traditional way of life such as food practices, food traits, historical sites, culture, celebrations, etc.
- Two (2) Categories
- Conventional Photography - Photos taken using all types of traditional or conventional cameras like Single Lens Reflex (SLR) or Digital SLR, compact cameras and the like
- Mobile Photography - Photos taken using apps in all types of mobile devices like smartphones and tablets
- Entry Guidelines
- Must be in full color
- Should have been taken anywhere from January 2014 - May 30,2016
- Photos should be in digital format/file.
- Should have no watermark
- Image should be in landscape format
- Image must include "photo title" and "photo caption". The caption must indicate the place where the image was taken, and must have an accurate description of what the photo is about
- For Conventional Photography category - All digital files must be in JPG format, 72 dpi in resolution, at least 22.222 inches in size with at least 1,600 pixels on the longer side
- For Mobile Photography category - Image quality must be set to Best mode of the device

- You are allowed to submit up to two (2) entries only. You may submit 2 entries under 1 category or 1 entry each on both categories
- There will be four (4) regional screenings (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, Metro Manila). Five (5) finalists in each category will be selected and move on the the Grand Finals
- Sorting of regional entries shall be strictly residency-based
- A special prize will be given to the entry (on both categories) with most likes via PAGCOR FB page
- The decision of the judges are final and not appealable
