Synopsis:
La Reina
- Memi prepares to become queen of the carnival. Lost in a world of grown-ups and trapped in her routine, she is torn between the glamour of pageants and the pressures on becoming a winner
- The adventures of Amadeo, a shy but smart boy, and a table football team who try to get back together after they are broken up. Together they will have to confront the most fearsome of rivals on a football-table pitch
- Based loosely on the story of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Gold Bug, El Escarabajo de Oro revolves around a crazy trip in which a group of people with the excuse to study colonialism travels toward a mission to search for a mysterious treasure, and to use the cryptogram drawn exactly from the homonym book of Edgar Allan Poe
- Felipe is a strict, meticulous, and cynical businessman who lives an idyllic relationship with his wife, Luz. Nothing seems to escape an existence encapsulated by wealth and comfort without any scarce. But all the discipline fell apart in which Felipe cannot control when he signed a contract that underpin the thread of his own family life
- Inequality, injustice and the demands of the world we live in cause stress and depression for many people. Some of them, however, explode. Vulnerable in the face of reality that shifts and suddenly turns unpredictable, the characters cross the thin line that divides civilization and barbarism. A lover’s betrayal, a return to the repressed past and the violence woven into everyday encounters drive the characters to madness as they cede to undeniable pleasure of losing control
