Next Big Food Entrepreneur '13
Did you miss your luck in last year's food competition? Here's your much awaited chance! For those interested to succeed and have their own food business, reserve a slot today for Solane's Next Big Food Entrepreneur 2013. You may enter as individual or with a group. To qualify, prepare your best dish good for 10-12 people. Get shortlisted to the next round where you will go through a series of classes about various business disciplines. In addition, you will be granted a 2-month food selling period at the Mercato Centrale market every daytime (Saturday/Sunday Morning) and nighttime (Friday/Sunday Midnight Mercato) for 2 weeks. Plus, additional 4 weeks selling period during nighttime at Soderno Friday/Saturday markets. One thing, though, you must use Solane LPG for on-site cooking for the entire food selling period. This stage will give you a chance to refine and improve your products/services and food taste, quality, and menu. Lastly, submit your business plan to be judged by a panel. Only 1 winner (either individual or group) will receive P100,000 cash-tax FREE, a 6-month rent-FREE stall in Mercato or Soderno (your choice), and be featured in Entrepreneur and Yummy Magazines.
Contest Requirements: - Open to all amateur and professional food entrepreneurs
- Local residents, 18 years old and above
- Teams composed of 3 persons who possess the abovementioned qualifications
- Reserve a slot from any scheduled Food Tasting dates by sending your name, short description of your dish concept, email address, contact number, and desired time in a short brown envelope labeled "Solane's Next Big Food Entrepreneur Challenge 2013 Entry"

- Contest Process
- Step 1: Food Taste Test
- Along with 2x2 pictures of your team members, submit a printout presentation of your profile and food business concept
- Prepare samples of any dish from your food business menu for ten (10) to twelve (12) persons
- Food samples must be cooked and ready for immediate consumption
- All food samples shall be judged on the spot
- The panel shall choose twenty (20) finalists who will move on to the next round
- Step 2: Food Selling
- You will undergo a series of entrepreneurship classes in various business disciplines (marketing, finance & accounting, food/restaurant management) courtesy of Entrepreneur Philippines Magazine editors
- You will be granted a 2-month food selling period at the Mercato Centrale market every daytime (Saturday/Sunday Morning) and nighttime (Friday/Sunday Midnight Mercato) for 2 weeks. - After the 2-month selling period, you are required to submit three (3) copies of your business plan

- Printed on a letter size paper (8.5 x 11 inches)
- Times New Roman font, 1.5 spaced
- Should not exceed ten (10) pages
- Fifteen (15) minute PowerPoint presentation summarizing your findings from your 2-month food selling
