Let's Twist, Curl & Swatch it!
In observance for the upcoming Chinese New Year, Swatch is celebrating the Year of the Snake by launching the "Let's Twist, Curl & Swatch It!" contest. Anyone can join. You just need to create an actual wrap-around fashion entry (scarf, necktie, belt, etc.) with your own snake design using a Swatch watch as inspiration. Wait for the entry forms to be published in The Philippine Star newspaper during the promo period. However, you can get the contest guidelines acceptance form at any Swatch store. Enclose your entry, together with the needed forms, in a long plastic envelope and submit personally to any Swatch shop. Be included in the Top 50 finalists for a chance to win cash prizes worth P100,000, P50,000, P30,000, or P20,000 respectively plus the Swatch "The Legend of the White Snake" watch. There will also be ten (10) honorable mentions which will also get the Swatch "The Legend of the White Snake" watch each. In addition, the remaining 36 finalists will receive P1,000 worth of Swatch GCs. Swatch in partnership with Philstar annually holds this contest.
Contest Mechanics:
- Cut out the entry form which will be published every Wednesday, Friday & Sunday (during the contest period) in The Philippine Star newspaper. The contest guidelines acceptance form is available at any Swatch shop
- Theme: The Year of the Snake's "Let's twist, curl and Swatch it!". Create an actual wrap-around fashion entry (scarf, necktie, belt, etc.) with your own snake design using a Swatch watch as inspiration
- Enclose the wraparound fashion entry, the filled-up entry form and the filled-up contest guidelines acceptance form in a long plastic envelope. Seal and sign on the flap and submit personally to any Swatch Shop
- Judging Criteria:
- 50% Creativity
- 25% Originality
- 25% Composition
- Entries will be received by the Gift Gate, Inc. representatives or the store OIC by issuing an acknowledgement receipt and logging the entry in the competition log sheet for proper documentation and storage. It will then be sent to the Gift Gate, Inc. home office every week for safekeeping
- There will be fifty (50) finalists that will be chosen and will automatically become the exclusive property of Gift Gate, Inc.
- You are eligible to win any of the prizes. However, you can only win once in the entire contest duration

- 1st prize - P100,000 cash + the Swatch "The Legend of the White Snake" watch

- 4th prize - P20,000 cash + the Swatch "The Legend of the White Snake" watch

Upside

- No online submission
- All prizes are non-transferable and non-cash prizes are non-convertible to cash
- The withholding tax of 20 percent for all prizes exceeding P10,000 will be shouldered by the winner
- The entries of the top 50 finalists will automatically become the exclusive property of Gift Gate, Inc. and may be used, copied, reproduced and/or reprinted by Gift Gate, Inc. into any size or medium for a fashion show, exhibition, advertising, promotion or whatever purpose
