Comic Creation Contest
The Iloilo Comic Con is calling all amateur and professional artists to help promote our unexplored tourist attractions in Western Visayas through the Comic Creation Contest. Focusing on the theme, "Ang Maanyag (The Beautiful)", you need to create a comic book about the distinct places, events, non-fiction or fictional characters of Western Visayas. It can be in any genre you like as long as it follows the given theme and contains a moral lesson. Encourage your friends to vote for your entry for a chance to win cash prizes worth P10,000, P7,000, or P4,000 respectively plus a trophy.
Contest Requirements: - Open to all amateur and professional artists, individual or group
- Must be at least 13 years old prior to the date of the event
- Log on to the Comic Creation contest website and download the registration form
- Theme: "Ang Maanyag (The Beautiful)". Create a comic book that features less known and potential tourist attraction/s in Western Visayas
- Entry Guidelines
- Can be a love story, epic, horror or any genre you want (matured content will not be allowed)
- Distinct places / events / non-fiction / fictional characters of Western Visayas must be present in the story
- Story must contain moral lesson/s
- Have not won any previous local and international competition
- 8.5 X 6.5 (long bond paper, folded, and stapled twice in the middle)
- Stories must be 4 to 12 pages long (excluding cover)
- Colored and/or black and white entries are accepted
- The story should be in the form of a one-shot title. It should be whole in itself, with a clear beginning, middle, and end
- There are no restrictions as to the genre or art style that can be used as long as the comic book follows the given theme and guidelines
- Place your entry, registration form and photo in a short brown envelope. Write your name and address at the upper left hand corner then submit it to:

- 30% Originality
- 30% Art
- 30% Story
- 10% Online Voting
- You can only submit one (1) entry
- Entries will be posted at the ICCON website and Facebook page for online voting
- Submitted entries are non-returnable. It should be reproductions only. (originals will not be returned)
- Multiple comic stories in a single entry (anthology) will not be allowed
