Intel Philippines is giving you a chance to unleash your inner Spielberg. Join the Digital Showdown and showcase your creativity in making short films. The video must revolve in the theme, "My PC, My Life". Participants can submit as many entries as they want in the following categories or short film time: 30 seconds, 50 seconds, or 70 seconds. Be on the top 10 shortlisted entries to move on the finals and get the chance to win one (1) of three netbooks powered by Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 processor.

                Come and watch the lineup of films at the 16th French Film Festival happening this June 8 - July 2, 2011. Enjoy a variety of FREE French films from action, adventure, comedy, drama and documentary. The festival includes movies from famed French actress Sandrine Bonnaireas and selections from Filipino director Auraeus Solito. Screenings will take place in Shangri-La Plaza, Ayala Center Cebu, and UP Film Institute. Come at least 2 hours before the screening time to make sure you get a ticket

                Petron has faith in Filipino talent. One reason why they launched the national student art competition dubbed Lakbay Pinoy Art Competition. The theme revolves around the quote "Journeys to Remember, Pathways to Rediscover." Student photographers, painters, and designers who has love for the Philippine art and its culture are invited to join. Express your life journeys through oil, acrylic, photograph or t-shirt design and Win CASH prizes of P50,000 for the painting category and P30,000 for photography & t-shirt design category




                Contest Requirements:
                • Open to all college students, 15-28 years old, enrolled in any schools/universities or in tutorial art and photography.
                Contest Mechanics:
                1. Three Categories
                  • Painting
                    • Watercolor/Water-based Media
                      • Surface to be used must be watercolor paper or illustration board only
                      • Should not exceed 4 x 4 feet, exclusive of frame
                    • Oil/Acrylic
                      • Surface to be used must either be canvass, canvass paper or wood
                      • Should not exceed 4 x 4 feet, exclusive of frame
                    • Colored Photography
                      • Size of the photograph must not be smaller than 8 x 10 inches and should not exceed 10 x 15 inches, exclusive of frame
                      • Must be original and have been photographed after April 30, 2011
                      • Must not have been previously exhibited or awarded a prize in another contest, corrected and manipulated in any post production activity
                      • Camera used should be declared
                      • Digital photography and use of filters are allowed
                      • T-shirt Design
                        • Use of any design technique (silkscreen, handpainting, quilting, mixed media, etc) is allowed
                        • Must be executed for a white shirt (round neck and short sleeves)
                        • For graphic design entries, only hi-resolution JPEG vector images in RGB format will be accepted
                        • Graphic files must be given in a CD with the actual shirt submission
                        • Design should be your own original unpublished work and must not contain any third party logos, trademarks or copyright material
